Now Playing Vinyl Record stand - Oak & walnut Iron Maiden font

This "Now Playing" record stand is entirely handmade from oak with walnut Iron Maiden lettering. It can hold most sizes of record cover.

While listening to records I always find it's fun to have a stand to display the cover of the record that's currently playing.

I wanted to make a stand which is both a functional music accessory but is also a attractive piece of home decor. This particular design is aimed at heavy metal fans. 

I cut an angled housing joint into the base to hold the back panel which supports the record jacket and a decorative angle on the back edge of the base.

The lettering leaves a bold and beautiful Maiden style "NOW PLAYING" sign directly under your record cover.

Finally, I gave the entire piece a couple of coats of varnish with a final coat of a shop made beeswax mixture. 

This is a really cool accessory for a fan of heavy metal vinyl records and would make a great gift!
