Now Playing Vinyl Record stand - Oak & black

This "Now Playing" record stand is entirely handmade from oak and plywood and can hold most sizes of record cover.

While listening to records I often thought it would be fun to have a small stand to display the cover of the record that's currently playing.

I wanted to make a stand which is both a functional music accessory but is also a attractive piece of home decor which is why I decided on this very nice oak and black design.

This record display stand is made from solid oak which is a beautiful and extremely durable wood.

I cut an angled housing joint into the base to hold the back panel which supports the record jacket and a decorative angle on the back edge of the base.

Please note: as wood is a natural product, the grain pattern and colour can vary somewhat from piece to piece. 

The lettering is made from premium birch plywood and painted black to contrast nicely with the light oak stand. This leaves a bold and beautiful "NOW PLAYING" sign directly under your record cover.

Finally, I gave the entire piece a couple of coats of varnish with a final coat of my shop made beeswax mixture. 

This is a really cool accessory for a fan of vinyl records and would make a great gift!
